Securitas is currently hiring a Lead Security Officer for a professional manufacturing client site in Newington, NH. This position supports overnight security operations in a structured industrial environment.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced security professional who is dependable, observant, comfortable following procedures, and ready to take on additional responsibility. The Lead Security Officer serves as a point of leadership and support for officers on shift while helping maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment.

The ideal candidate is someone who shows up on time, stays alert throughout the shift, communicates clearly, follows post orders, documents activity accurately, and can help guide the team during overnight operations.

Lead Security Officer - Newington, NH

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 AM-8:00 AM

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay Rate: $21.50 / hour

What You'll Do:

Shift Leadership

Act as a point of contact for officers during assigned shifts. Provide guidance, support, and direction to on-site security staff while helping ensure post expectations are met.

Access Control and Gate Duties

Monitor employee, visitor, contractor, and vehicle access to the site. Verify credentials, check identification, maintain visitor logs, and ensure proper entry procedures are followed.

Patrols and Site Monitoring

Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, which may include entrances, gates, parking areas, warehouses, production areas, exterior areas, and other parts of the property.

Camera and Alarm Monitoring

Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems as required. Respond to alerts according to site procedures and escalate concerns when needed.

Incident Response

Respond to alarms, emergencies, safety concerns, access issues, and other incidents in a calm and professional manner. Assist with de-escalation, document findings, and communicate important updates to site leadership and Securitas management.

Reporting and Documentation

Complete accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, access records, shift documentation, and other required reports. Attention to detail and strong report writing are important in this role.

Training and Officer Support

Assist with onboarding and training new officers. Reinforce post orders, site expectations, and procedures to support consistency across the team.

Post Orders and Safety Procedures

Follow and help reinforce all site-specific post orders, emergency procedures, safety policies, and client expectations. Help identify potential safety concerns, security risks, or process gaps and escalate them appropriately.

Professional Presence

Represent Securitas and the client with professionalism, courtesy, and confidence. The Lead Officer should set the example for communication, reliability, accountability, and overall site performance.

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of prior security experience is required for this lead position.

Previous lead, senior officer, supervisory, military, law enforcement, corrections, dispatch, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or gatehouse experience is a plus.

Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond professionally during emergencies or unusual situations.

Basic computer proficiency and report writing skills required.

Ability to follow and reinforce detailed post orders and site procedures.

Ability to complete accurate reports, logs, and shift documentation.

Valid NH Security Guard license/guard card preferred, but not required. Candidates must be willing and able to complete the NH licensing process, which may include application paperwork, background review, and a trip to Concord, NH. This process takes approximately 2 weeks on average, depending on state processing times, so prompt completion of all required steps is important.

Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and respond to incidents throughout the shift.

Must be professional, reliable, and able to meet site expectations.
