Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Securities Operations Consultant o drive complex operational initiatives within Securities Operations while helping transform traditional processes into scalable, AI-enabled solutions. This role combines deep securities operations expertise with process analysis, knowledge management, and emerging AI technologies to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and risk controls.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across the trade lifecycle, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complex operational workflows into structured frameworks that support automation, knowledge management, and AI-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex Securities Operations initiatives, including cross-functional projects and process improvement efforts.

  • Analyze operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend scalable solutions, including AI-enabled enhancements.

  • Translate operational processes into structured frameworks that support consistency, knowledge management, and automation.

  • Make informed decisions on trade processing, settlement, and operational issues while ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Resolve complex escalations, operational exceptions, and risk-related issues.

  • Partner with business stakeholders and operational teams to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.

  • Lead implementation of new or revised processes, procedures, controls, and operational enhancements.

  • Monitor securities and cash-related operational activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation.

  • Conduct operational and risk analysis to support business strategies, improve customer experience, and strengthen controls.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor across key Securities Operations functions, including onboarding, funding, custodial services, securities settlement, structured loans, cash payments, customer service, and general ledger reconciliation.

  • Support the development and adoption of AI, Copilot, and workflow optimization solutions within operational environments.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • Experience in Securities Operations and trade lifecycle processing.

  • Ability to analyze complex operational issues, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.

  • Experience improving operational processes, controls, and workflows.

  • Strong understanding of operational risk, compliance, and settlement activities.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • AI & Prompt Engineering: Experience using Copilot or similar AI tools to create structured, accurate, and governed outputs.

  • Process Mapping: Ability to document and simplify complex operational workflows into scalable frameworks.

  • Data & Knowledge Management: Experience organizing operational information and maintaining structured knowledge resources.

  • Securities Operations Expertise: Strong understanding of trade processing, settlement, and operational controls.

  • Risk Analysis & Problem Solving: Ability to evaluate issues, identify root causes, and drive sustainable solutions.

  • Previous Wells Fargo experience (preferred).

  • Experience implementing AI, Copilot, or workflow optimization solutions.

  • Contact center or operational support experience.

  • Experience with Power Automate, SharePoint, knowledge management, or similar automation tools.
