Experience:
4-6 years experience. Considerable previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
Must have advanced knowledge of electrical safety and troubleshooting abilities for voltages up to 15kVAC. Must have demonstrated advanced knowledge of troubleshooting and development of control system programming including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software.

Two (2) Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade 2 Certifications at time of hire.
Valid Arizona Class "D" Drivers License.

The purpose of this position is to provide technical advice and act as a lead to the SCADA Instrumentation Control Specialists. This is accomplished by performing a wide variety of advanced and specialized duties, providing technical guidance, assigning and monitoring work, and assisting staff with complicated and difficult assignments. Employees in this position are required to work in a rotating standby detail of approximately one week per month. May attend meetings as required.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
A solid understanding of all aspects of automation
Experience with PLC and HMI programming via a variety of software applications and strong troubleshooting skills
Strong documentation skills as well as the ability to read and comprehend system drawings, schematic and wiring diagrams
The ability to multi-task, which includes leading multiple projects at once,
The ability to plan, schedule, delegate, train, collaborate, and work well with co-workers
Excellent customer service skills are also imperative.
