    *** This position is fully on-site and will split time between Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis & Baptist University ***

    Job Summary:

    The Lead Regional Core Site Coordinator serves as an administrator in medical education supporting curriculum for medical students. Interacts with Core Site Clinical Directors and Clinical Medical Education Specialists, and manages preceptors and students, directing scheduling of clinical rotations and end of rotation exams, managing recruitment of local preceptors, and facilitating and supervising evaluations by students and preceptors. Identifies solutions and incorporates new processes to improve workflows, production, security, and efficiency. Utilizes the capabilities of technology systems to support both efficient internal business processes and maintain compliance with educational accreditation rules and regulations. Under the direction of the Director of Baptist University Clinical Education Network (BUCEN) and Regional Core Site Director. Responsible for all functions as defined below.  

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Configure and maintain educational platforms to improve workflow and accuracy.
    2. Input and manage calendars, rotation schedules and other materials to the learning management systems by designated deadlines.
    3. Coordinate with Core Clinical Site Directors and BUCEN Clinical Medical Education Specialists.
    4. Manage preceptors to facilitate scheduling and credentialing.
    5. Supervises and proctors student testing and evaluation activities related to clinical education during OMS 3 and 4.
    6. Import and categorize information needed for curriculum delivery, exams, and schedules.
    7. Coordinate student and faculty curricular events, including appropriately communicating with groups as needed by email or other means.
    8. Collaborate and direct standard operating procedures (SOP) for site directors and faculty.
    9. Coordinate guest lectures and relevant events supporting this role in medical education.
    10. Ensure data integrity and compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies.
    11. Collaborate with BUCEN Director, Regional Site Director, and BUCEN CMES to lead student resources within region.
    12. Perform related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in related field, or equivalent administrative experience.
    • Three (3) years of administrative experience.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in health care, educational technology, or higher education.
    • Four (4) years of administrative experience in health care, medical education, or higher education setting.
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other educational technologies.

     

    Physical Requirements:
    Work requires little or no physical effort.  Lifting or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) is intermittent (not a routine part of the job) and secondary to the job.

    Environmental Conditions:
    Work is performed under basically normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
