Primary Responsibilities

The Lead Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality excellence across both new product development and existing product teams. This role serves as a key influencer and mentor, ensuring the implementation and continuous improvement of the organization's Quality System. The Lead Quality Engineer champions innovative solutions, guides process and product improvements, and inspires team members to consistently exceed expectations for luxury appliance customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Systems: Problem identification, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action using Statistical Tools as appropriate. • Development, maintenance, and review of key performance indicators. • Research, recommend, and implement new equipment, designs, gauging and or processes that improve product quality, consistency and performance. • Quality Planning: Lead PFMEA activities, facilitate creation of, organization of, and complete follow-ups as needed on new or existing production process PFMEAs. • Review and update the quality system requirements for new or revised products, including review and measurement of key control characteristics (KCC) identification and documentation. • Work closely with industrial and manufacturing engineering to develop, qualify and audit new and key processes with data collection. • Support trial builds of product throughout the system, gathering feedback for evaluation. • Assist Business Unit Leader in defining annual Quality goals and objectives. • Build a culture that identifies and solves problems related to quality, involving employees at all levels to own it and improve it. • Promote a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams align around shared goals and celebrate collective wins. • Report to all levels of the organization up through the executive level.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering function • Strong understanding of and experience applying advanced statistical methodologies in a manufacturing environment - e.g. ANOVA, regression analysis, six sigma concepts, etc. • Proficient in GD&T, measurement practices and APQP tools such as PPAP, dFMEA, pFMEA, MSA, SPC, capability studies and control plans • Solid analytical problem-solver with knowledge of tools (5why, 8D, A3, etc.) • Experienced in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint) and Data Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc.) • Able to work collaboratively to resolve issues and continually improve results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost

Preferred Qualifications

• American Society for Quality (ASQ) - Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ASQ- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or other certification strongly desired • Experience leading a team and coaching and developing direct reports • Knowledge of SolidWorks and gauge / fixture design • Lean manufacturing experience • Understanding of ISO / IATF / AS QMS standards and experience internal auditing to the standards • Proven track record of project management and effectively managing priorities
