Torrid is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to drive quality across our eCommerce site, mobile app, and system integrations. In this role, you'll lead testing efforts including test planning, execution, automation, defect management, and reporting. You'll support multiple high-impact initiatives, balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring projects are delivered successfully and on time.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead QA efforts for Torrid's eCommerce and mobile applications in an Agile environment.
  • Coordinate testing activities with QA, Development, Product, and Project teams.
  • Mentor QA team members and manage offshore/contract testing resources.
  • Translate business requirements into test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
  • Develop and communicate test strategies, execution status, defect reports, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Execute and oversee functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and non-functional testing.
  • Support UAT, release validation, and post-production testing.
  • Manage defects through triage and resolution using tools such as Jira and TestRail.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and provide QA status updates.
  • Design, implement, and maintain web and mobile (iOS/Android) automation frameworks.
  • Leverage AI-powered testing solutions to improve automation stability, increase test coverage, prioritize risk-based testing, and accelerate test creation.
  • Identify testing risks and drive proactive quality improvements across projects.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing practices across the SDLC, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience testing eCommerce platforms and native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and Appium, using languages including Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with Jira, TestRail, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools, including self-healing automation, visual testing, and natural language test generation.
  • Ability to develop test strategies, create test cases, and align testing efforts with business requirements.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable web and mobile automation frameworks.
  • Strong defect management, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled at creating QA metrics, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience facilitating defect triage, Scrum ceremonies, and release readiness reviews.
