The team is in need of a strong Project Engineer to help lead and execute the team through extremely fast new centerline military engine design programs & efforts. To meet the needs of the marketplace in the face of stiff competition, the team must rapidly develop new engines and support existing engines to be the best in the marketplace through execution of world class project management. The successful candidate will lead a cross‑functional engineering team to develop and support major engine systems to be best-in market under strict schedule constraints.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design and development activity of the engine system through all aspects of the Honeywell IPDS process on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements. Key aspects include requirements validation and verification, resolution of key technical challenges, acquisition of hardware, management of fabrication cost and execution of qualification tasks. Broad indirect span of control of approximately 10-12 full time equivalent engineers with peak execution periods of >15+. Cost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting. The first autopilot in 1914, Charles Lindbergh’s first successful solo flight across the Atlantic in 1927, Amelia Earhart’s landmark flight in 1932, and the world’s first sonic boom in 1947, were all made possible because of aviation technology developed by Honeywell and its legacy companies.

In the 1950’s, Honeywell Aerospace and its legacy companies changed the face of flying with the development of the first gas-turbine engines and the ring laser gyroscope, which dramatically changed guidance and navigation forever. Sperry brought computer technology to the cockpit with electronic flight instrument systems, flight management systems and other digital technology, and Bendix introduced the first commercial weather radar system.Today, Honeywell Aerospace continues to innovate in the frontier of flight safety with traffic alert and collision avoidance technologies, the AlliedSignal Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, and systems that help pilots avoid severe weather and hazards such as lightning and wind shear.
