In this role you will be:
- Perform routine and complex polysomnographic procedures including setup, monitoring, data acquisition, and scoring.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction during overnight sleep studies.
- Review patient histories and confirm appropriate test selection and protocols.
- Accurately score sleep studies in accordance with AASM guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and signal issues in real-time.
- Provide day-to-day supervision and support for technologists and technicians.
- Schedule staff coverage to ensure adequate lab operations across all shifts.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for staff; lead training and onboarding for new hires.
- Conduct performance feedback and assist with competency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and integrity of sleep study data.
- Assist in maintaining accreditation standards (e.g., AASM or Joint Commission).
- Collaborate with sleep physicians and medical director on protocol updates and clinical workflow improvements.
- Coordinate maintenance and calibration of equipment; report technical issues promptly.
- Participate in audits, data collection, and quality improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
EDUCATION: Successful completion of a polysomnography program recognized by the BRPT, associated with a State licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility is preferred.
Boarded as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is required upon application. All continuing education requirements must be completed according to applicable governing body.
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of paid clinical experience where the on-the-job duties of polysomnography are performed is required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Registry by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required
Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).
