Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists in the delivery of physical therapy services, treating patients with movement dysfunction and pain resulting from injury, disease, or other health-related conditions. Under appropriate therapy supervision, the Lead Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists the Rehab Director in directing and supervising the activities of the inpatient therapy department staff, including PT, PTA, OT, COTA, ST, PT/OT techs, students, and volunteers. This role involves operational and administrative tasks such as assisting with strategic planning, compliance, quality improvement, patient safety, inventory management, patient satisfaction, and community/physician relations. Responsibilities also include orienting and mentoring staff, coordinating student supervision, assisting with patient-therapist scheduling, leading patient care meetings, and performing quality assurance through chart and clinical documentation reviews. The Lead PTA serves as a resource for advances in clinical care, discipline-specific protocols, staff education, training, and development, performing delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and the overall plan of care.

What qualifications you will need:

• State Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
• Graduate of an AMA accredited school of physical therapy assistants or Associates Degree
• 1 year of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
