The role of Lead Overnight Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for supervising his/her direct staff in performing routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the properties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the properties
Responsible for directing daily-weekly tasks, PMs, and special projects to be performed by the maintenance techs.
Communicates professionally with various: HK department management Teams, outside vendors, and business partners.
Recognizes equipment that needs repairs, adjustments, or replacement
Applies paint using a roller, hand brush, or spray gun on all types of furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, etc.
Installs and repairs wallpaper throughout the property
Patches and prepares all surfaces for paint or wallpaper, including sheetrock patches, and refinishes all types of furniture
Applies tape and drywall finish as required.
Applies ceiling finishes and other textured finishes
Perform basic carpentry techniques necessary to maintain furniture and fixture such as tightening, gluing, touching-up finishes, adjusting, aligning, and assembling where necessary
Maintains equipment and logbooks
Possess good working knowledge of HVAC systems
Replaces filters throughout properties as needed
Possess extensive knowledge of repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment including kitchen equipment, gas, and steam, electrical and plumbing
Daily travel to various locations for installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Have strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of timelines
Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
High School Diploma Preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in an industrial complex property
21+ years of age
Regularly lift and/or move items
Capable of operating skyjack, forklift, scissor lift, or other heavy equipment
Working knowledge of repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment, perception and awareness of the maintenance goals and policies
Proper lifting techniques
