You will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team working on optical transceiver hardware/electrical from conception to manufacturing. Lead the transceiver link simulation. Work closely with firmware engineer, optical engineer, mechanical and process engineer to come up with a product per customer requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities --------------------------------

Participate in standard and MSA meetings and present for the company. Lead the link simulation for optical transceiver. Conduct electrical and optical measurements of optical transceiver. Create optical transceiver specification compliance reports. Create the firmware requirement document. Conduct RF simulation of the high-speed signal communication link.

Education & Experience ---------------------

B.S. EE degree with 7-year experience or M.S. EE degree with 5-year experience required (M.S. preferred, Ph.D. a plus)

Skills --------

  • Strong fiber and digital communication and DSP system theory and simulation
  • Strong analog circuit design skills required
  • Strong background of circuit theory, linear system theory, feedback, ICs, and high-speed RF fundamentals required
  • Strong laboratory measurement skills required
  • Strong communication and presentation skill required
  • Experience with electronics CAD tools and electronic system modeling
  • Expertise in RF design using modeling tools such as CST or HFSS (a plus)
  • Strong background of optical transceiver design (a plus)

Working Conditions -----------------

This position is onsite. May require occasional off-site meetings or travel. Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary. Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job. May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executives needs.

Physical Requirements ---------------------

  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for operating computers and lab equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative or lab tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility within the office/lab environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
