The Lead Operations Analyst is a business operations–focused role embedded within Technology and IT. This role partners closely with Finance, HR & Recruiting, Procurement, Legal, and Information Security teams across the globe to align technology operations with business strategy, financial goals, and compliance requirements.

You will own key cross-functional operational domains, drive standardization and process improvements, and leverage data to inform decisions, optimize spend, and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Tech and IT operations.

In This Role, You Will::

Cross-Functional Business Partnership

  • Act as a primary business operations partner to Tech/IT leadership and global stakeholders in Finance, HR & Recruiting, Procurement, Legal, and InfoSec.
  • Translate business needs and policies (budget, headcount, contracts, compliance, security) into clear Tech/IT operational requirements and action plans.
  • Facilitate global alignment on standards, processes, and reporting across regions and business units.

Ownership & Process Improvement

  • Own and govern core Tech/IT business operations processes such as:
    • Technology budgeting and forecasting support
    • Headcount planning and tracking in partnership with HR & Recruiting
    • Vendor and contract operations in partnership with Procurement and Legal
    • Access, compliance, and security-related operational workflows with InfoSec
  • Map current-state processes, identify gaps and pain points, and lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives to:
    • Increase efficiency and automation
    • Improve data quality and controls
    • Reduce operational and compliance risk

Data & Business Impact Analysis

  • Design and maintain operational and financial reporting for Tech/IT (e.g., spend, headcount, vendor usage, operational KPIs).
  • Use advanced Excel and data analytics to:
    • Analyze trends and variance vs. budgets/forecasts
    • Model business scenarios and quantify impact of operational changes
    • Identify optimization opportunities (cost, productivity, risk reduction)
  • Present insights and recommendations to Tech leadership and partner functions in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner.

Project & Portfolio Management

  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional projects involving Tech/IT and partner teams (Finance, HR/Recruiting, Procurement, Legal, InfoSec), ensuring clear scope, timelines, and ownership.
  • Track and report on progress, risks, and dependencies for key Tech/IT business operations initiatives.
  • Ensure that process and tooling changes are documented, communicated, and adopted globally.

Communication & Change Management

  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding of objectives, constraints, and outcomes.
  • Develop clear documentation, playbooks, and communications to support new or updated processes across regions.
  • Champion a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within Tech/IT business operations.
Here's What You Need::
  • 6+ years experience in Business Operations, Tech/IT Operations, FP&A support, or similar cross-functional role, ideally within a technology-driven or SaaS organization.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including:
    • Complex formulas and nested functions
    • Pivot tables and advanced charting
    • Data cleansing, transformation, and modeling for decision support
  • Demonstrated data analytics experience, including:
    • Working with operational and financial datasets
    • Building and maintaining reports/dashboards for leadership
    • Turning analysis into actionable business recommendations
  • Proven project management experience:
    • Leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple departments and/or regions
    • Managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders
    • Delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills:
    • Comfortable engaging with Finance, HR & Recruiting, Procurement, Legal, and InfoSec stakeholders
    • Able to distill complex data and technical context into clear business narratives
  • Clear ownership mindset with a track record of:
    • Taking responsibility for defined domains or processes
    • Proactively identifying and solving problems
    • Following through to implementation and adoption

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or partnering directly with Finance, HR/Recruiting, Procurement, Legal, and/or InfoSec.
  • Experience with data visualization / BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma, or similar).
  • Exposure to global operations, including working across time zones

Success in this Role:

  • Standardized, efficient, and well-documented Tech/IT business operations processes adopted across regions.

  • Measurable improvements in cost efficiency, process reliability, and stakeholder satisfaction with Tech/IT operations.
