The Lead Material Handler is responsible for overseeing the activities of material handlers and ensuring that materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently, accurately and on-time to customer needs. They establish and monitor schedules and metrics while assisting Material Handlers in their daily tasks. The Lead Material Handler resolves issues for their team and obtains required resources to achieve team goals. They play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing the material flow & processes, and supporting the timely fulfillment of orders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Manages and monitors inventory transaction processes to ensure inventory accuracy and timeliness to company policies

Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors

Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities

Expedite materials and transactions to support manufacturing operations

Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of goods

Maintain inventory organization & cycle count by location, count, and status

Coordinate the generation of cycle count and physical inventory sheets and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the inventory count

Manage recycling and inventory disposal per Creation Technologies policy

Maintain material storage areas, keep stock control systems up-to-date, and ensure inventories are accurate Inspect material handling equipment, tools, and machinery regularly and monitor general maintenance as needed

Assist employees in submitting Service Desk Tickets

Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity goals are met or exceeded

Provides feedback to their leadership on resources and training needs; proposes solutions

Audit receiving, shipping, material handling processes and procedures, shipments, receipts, etc.

Coordinate and support the implementation of training, procedural documentation updates, and process improvements

Lead cross-functional projects, process improvements and continuous improvement events to improve the performance of the Materials team

Produce statistical and information reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis regarding inventory and warehouse status including establishing metrics and targets

Provides guidance, training, and priorities to personnel in their daily work while working with them to resolve issues and anticipating potential problems

Directly involved in interdepartmental activities working with Accounting, Procurement, Planning, Operations, etc., daily and on special projects

Maintain safety and 5S workplace organization standards

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Required

High School diploma, GED, or equivalency

2 years experience in warehouse/inventory management, physical inventory practices and procedures

1 year experience with leading teams or equivalent experience/training

1 year experience using pallet trucks, tools, and equipment to handle and move material

1 year experience using reel counters and scales to count small components Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) to create, edit, and maintain documents

Proficient English business communications skills, both written and verbal

Ability to give clear instructions and follow through on their execution

Strong customer service focus (both internal and external)

Must be very detailed oriented/organizational skills

Be flexible, adaptable, able and willing to modify activities and direction with a dynamic business environment

Ability to manage and support staffing of a multi-shift operation Proactive, with a sense of urgency Preferred

Use of powered material handling equipment (i.e., forklift)

Experience handling electronic components

Experience in setting up MS Excel functions including creating and editing formulas, VLOOKUP, and PivotTables

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $25.00-$28.00 per hour Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and hours worked.
