Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for a variety of tasks including:
Responsibilities also include building and maintaining mechanical systems and involve the use of a variety of hand and power tools and testing equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices.
Detect malfunctions through observation, sound, or visual inspection.
Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.
Repair broken or faulty machine parts.
Perform emergency repairs.
Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.
Order materials needed for repairs, etc.
Works independently regularly.
Detects and reports defective and unsafe equipment and materials as well as unusual situations to supervisor.
Observes and obeys all safety rules, practices, and procedures.
Wears and employs personal protective equipment as required.
Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested.
Regular attendance is always an essential function.
