We are looking for Lead Line Cooks to help us open our Adams Morgan café!
Our Lead Line Cooks play an important role in maintaining the flow of kitchen service while upholding Tatte’s standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and hospitality. Lead Line Cooks support kitchen operations by ensuring all dishes, modifications, allergies, and presentation standards are executed accurately and efficiently throughout service.
We are looking for team members who are passionate about food, thrive in fast paced kitchen environments, and enjoy supporting and guiding others while maintaining operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We expect our Lead Line Cooks to:
Lead with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail
Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and organization
Support and guide kitchen team members throughout service
Ensure all guest modifications and allergy requests are executed accurately
Uphold food safety, sanitation, and operational standards at all times
Live Tatte’s core values and help support our mission
Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Summary of Responsibilities
Maintain the flow of service while upholding company standards regarding ticket times, food quality, plating specifications, and guest modifications
Ensure all orders meet guest expectations and company standards
Ensure all dishes are visually appealing and properly executed
Complete daily safety and sanitation checks using company systems and tools
Communicate effectively with kitchen and café teams to support guest satisfaction
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment according to company standards
Report maintenance concerns, faulty equipment, or accidents to leadership immediately
Maintain positive working relationships with team members and guests
Perform all responsibilities safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Support food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Other related assignments as necessary
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced kitchen environment
Strong communication skills
Ability to lift, move, and carry 50+ pounds
Ability to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
Must be validated on all savory stations
