Lead Inventory CoordinatorBased onsite at Rocket Lab's launch complex in Wallops Island, VA, the Lead Inventory Coordinator is tasked with supporting Operations teams to achieve daily/weekly production targets including facilitating any production deviations that may require re-prioritization of resources. This role will champion inbound throughput and accuracy outbound DIFOT to achieve a high customer service levels thru the constant strive to receive and supply the right parts, to the right place, at the right time. There are thousands of components that are used on Electron and hundreds of Orders that need to be correctly received in a timely manner and supplied to internal and external customers on a just in time basis.What You'll Get To Do:Monitor Open orders & Fast Track Rush OrdersEnsure Throughput KPI's are meetProvide Daily Direction and support for Store PersonsStrong customer focus required for any walk upsSupport inwards goods as neededSupport outbound logistics as neededEnsure on time Delivery of components and Production kits in accordance with Production & Transfer Order Plans / PrioritiesCoordinate daily and weekly Kitting resource to achieve DIFOT and sustain a high level of customer service.First escalation point for any kitting related issuesLiaison support for Production assembly Team Leads, Other Rocket labs sites and Logistics teams on required parts including internal Workshop for rework orders and parts that flow from the workshop back into storesEnsure compliance with RL document management systemEnsure SOP'S are followed, and Stock point accuracy is maintainedTo ensure all tasks are carried out in manner that minimizes potential harm to yourself and othersFacilitate shared resource requirements for achieving daily cycle counting program.Ensure FIFO is managed and maintained to achieve appropriate stock rotationMaintain Stock point accuracy and ensure LN accurately reflects actual stock movements. Investigating and resolving any discrepancies.Drive Continuous Improvements across the team and maintain standard operating procedures for key processes.Maintain a tidy, orderly warehouse in accordance with the principles of 5sTo carry out all tasks as could be reasonably be expected of youEnsure health and safety policies and standard operating procedures are followedCorrect PPE is worn in designated areasNear misses and incidents are reported promptlyAdditional duties as reasonably requiredYou'll Bring These Qualifications:High school diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience.Experience Independently performing a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job.Proven experience in managing 3-6 direct reports, or qualified internal candidateExposure to international shipping regulations, such as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).International Air Transportation Association, (IATA) / International Maritime Dangerous Good (IMDG) knowledge.Strong IT knowledge, comfortable working with Windows.Experience working with a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system.These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:Associate's Degree or Bachelor's DegreeExperience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturingExperience with ERP SystemsPrior experience in high-paced, rapid growth environmentA can-do attitude, open to learning with good organizational skills.Excellent communication skills and able to build working relationships.This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state of Virginia's pay transparency requirements. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab's compensation package for this role.
