Job DescriptionThis position is on the Enterprise Integrations team as a principal engineer responsible for development and support of Enterprise Integration services and platform management. This role involves working as part of the enterprise team, collaborating closely with multiple engineering and product teams, and gaining exposure to various business processes and workflows. As a member of Enterprise API & Integrations teams, there will be opportunities to cross-skill and expand into other API Platforms. We are seeking a hands-on engineer with strong experience API Management, along with knowledge of API design, development and Integrations. This individual will work closely with the development team and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of business and technology initiatives in alignment with Quest standards, architecture and security best practices.Responsibilities: Be a part of a Scrum team working on API development and integrations using IBM Application Connect Enterprise 12/13, API Connect, DataPower and MQDesign and develop IBM Application Connect Enterprise Applications/APIs using IBM MQ SeriesTake lead on design and architecture discussions and decisions, working closely with architecture and other stakeholders Designing and developing APIs using API Connect and Datapower.Understand HL7 message model and use the IBM App Connect message mapping function. Design APIs following RESTful API design principles and API-led architectureEmploying API led Microservices design principles and standard methodologiesWork closely with architects on architecting integration solutions and designing API-led architecture.Build consistent reusable APIs implementing security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications etc. for API management platformEstablish a strong culture of security awareness and ownership to establish the DevSecOps practices within API Dev LifecycleDefine and measure key performance indicators to track and monitor API consumptions by App developer and API productResponsible for debugging within a complex environment that includes multiple connected systemsResponsible for operational reporting, health monitoring of the applicationEnsure the reusability of all the components developedWork with other leaders and stakeholders within the organization, business, security, and other stakeholders in driving API solutionsEvangelize, mentor, and coach other team members utilizing API Connect and/or Application Connect Enterprise 12/13Assist in production supportQualifications: EducationBachelor's Degree Computer Science or equivalent (Required)Required Work Experience: A minimum of 15 years'experience in IT, including a minimum of 10 years' experience in API management and integrations using open source and integration platforms like IBM, Mulesoft etc. Minimum 10+ experience in API management and Integration space, delivering quality APIs and reusable integration solutions 5+ years' experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWSStrong experience with API design patterns and microservicesExperience designing and managing enterprise API Platform Experience with IBM middleware technologies like IBM API Connect, Datapower, Application Connect Enterprise.5+ years' experience working in Agile/Scrum modelExperience with a wide variety of continuous integration and source control toolsProven track record of successful implementation of all project life cycle stages from requirements gathering through implementation and enhancementsKnowledge of API security including OIDC and OAuth2.0 conceptsExperience with designing APIs as products and building API-led architectureExperience in building APIs for B2B, B2C product solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leadersExperience with Github, Github actions and pipeline deployments.Preferred Work Experience & Professional Licensing: Experience with IBM DataPower, Application Connect Enterprise 12/13, API Connect and MQHealthcare domain experience, Enterprise, Legacy application integration experience is a plusExperience HL7 and FHIR is a plus5+ years' experience with DevOpsAgile certificationAPI certificationCloud certification54443Quest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
