Job Description - ETL Developer (Informatica / SQL Server / Oracle)
Location: Mason, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Woodland Hills, CA, Richmond, VA
pay rate: $50/hr

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration and data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Informatica, SQL Server, and Oracle, along with a solid understanding of ETL frameworks and data processing. This role involves building scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter / IICS.
  • Build and maintain data integration pipelines across multiple source systems.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various OLTP and flat file sources.
  • Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and complex queries.
  • Work extensively with Oracle and SQL Server databases for data processing and validation.
  • Implement data mapping, transformation logic, and data modeling techniques.
  • Design and maintain data warehouse structures (fact & dimension tables).
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs and database queries.
  • Implement CDC (Change Data Capture) and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1 & 2).
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
  • Troubleshoot ETL issues and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams for requirement gathering and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in ETL, Data Integration, and Data Warehousing.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Informatica (PowerCenter / IICS).
  • Strong expertise in Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • Experience in ETL design, development, and optimization.
  • Good understanding of data warehouse concepts (Star/Snowflake schema).
  • Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting ETL workflows.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting (nice to have).
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SSIS or other ETL tools.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in BI tools (OBIEE, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Healthcare domain experience (preferred for client alignment).
