    Job DescriptionThe Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Lead will be responsible for the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of NGCM HWIL systems supporting Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), avionics, and missile subsystem validation. This role owns the full lifecycle of HWIL system development from requirements definition through integration, test, and customer deployment.Worker TypeRegularKey ResponsibilitiesHWIL Architecture & System DesignDefine HWIL system architecture for NGCM baseline and future variantsDraft hardware and software requirements for HWIL drawers and subsystemsDevelop Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Functional Block Diagrams (FBDs), Wiring Diagrams (WDs), and Test ProceduresEnsure configuration control of all HWIL technical data packages (TDPs)Integration & TestDesign, build, test, and deploy complete HWIL systemsLead integration of avionics, GEU, seeker, CAS, and propulsion interfaces into HWIL environmentSupport TRR, ATP, and QTP eventsDevelop validation and verification (V&V) strategies for GNC algorithmsProgram & Technical LeadershipLead and manage HWIL engineering team (electrical, software, integration)Develop Basis of Estimate (BOE) for new scope and IRAD effortsSupport Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) planning and executionCoordinate staffing and resource planning for HWIL activitiesCustomer & Capture SupportInterface with Army, RCCTO, and industry partnersSupport OTA proposals and technical white papersProvide technical inputs for future NGCM derivative capture effortsTravel to partner sites for HWIL deployment and integration supportRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)8+ years experience in electrical hardware design and avionics integrationDirect experience designing, building, and deploying HWIL systemsExperience leading small engineering teamsBackground in missile or hypersonic systems preferredExperience with Avionics hardware lifecycle managementExperience with Configuration Management (ECO, DCO, NCR, MRB, ERB processes)Experience with Environmental qualification testing (ATP/QTP)Experience with OTA proposals and technical capture effortsStrong working knowledge of Controls systems and GNC integrationStrong working knowledge of Electrical system design & hardware integrationStrong working knowledge of Technical data package developmentDesired QualificationsExperience developing HWIL systems for missile flight hardwareFamiliarity with trajectory analysis, radar modeling, or MATLAB-based analysis toolsPrior hiring manager or section lead experienceClearance LevelSecretSalary Range$133,500 - $189,525BenefitsAV offers an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K with company matching, a 9/80 work schedule and a paid holiday shutdown.Equal OpportunityWe are proud to be an EEO/AA Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.
