A respected Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving Brooklyn communities is seeking an experienced Lead OB/GYN Physician to provide both clinical excellence and strategic leadership for its Women's Health Department.

This is a unique opportunity for a physician leader who is passionate about advancing women's healthcare, mentoring providers, improving clinical quality, and serving diverse and underserved patient populations.

The Lead OB/GYN will combine hands-on patient care with departmental leadership responsibilities while helping shape the future of Women's Health services across multiple community-based care sites.

What You'll DoClinical Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient OB/GYN care
  • Deliver prenatal, postnatal, gynecologic, reproductive health, and family planning services
  • Perform office-based gynecologic procedures
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and hospital-based care when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and compliant EMR documentation
  • Participate in on-call coverage as needed
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor Women's Health providers and clinical staff
  • Support provider onboarding, development, and clinical performance
  • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered culture
  • Assist with recruitment and retention initiatives
  • Participate in departmental and organizational leadership meetings
Quality & Operational Leadership
  • Develop and maintain evidence-based Women's Health protocols
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics and patient outcomes
  • Support regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements
  • Drive operational improvements to enhance access and efficiency
Community Impact
  • Support women's health outreach and education programs
  • Advance reproductive and maternal health initiatives
  • Promote equitable access to care for underserved communities
  • Help strengthen community partnerships and health outcomes
QualificationsRequired
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Active New York medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 10 years of OB/GYN clinical experience
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership, medical director, lead physician, or departmental management experience
Preferred
  • FQHC, Community Health Center, or Safety-Net Healthcare experience
  • Experience working with underserved or multicultural populations
  • Strong quality improvement and clinical operations experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
