We are opening our new Monument Scenter and are looking for a Lead Groomer who enjoys grooming dogs, mentoring others, and helping create a positive, team-oriented environment.

About the Role
The Lead Groomer is responsible for performing high-quality puppy cuts while also supporting, mentoring, and developing the grooming and bathing team. You will help ensure that all grooming services meet Scenthound’s quality and safety standards while maintaining an efficient and positive workflow in the Scenter.


Key Responsibilities
• Perform puppy cuts according to Scenthound grooming standards
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to trimmers and bathers
Train and coach new team members on Scenthound techniques and standards
• Maintain a safe and calm environment for dogs and team members
Assist the team when needed to keep the Scenter running on schedule
• Ensure high-quality service and consistent grooming results
• Maintain cleanliness and adherence to Scenthound sanitary practices
Collaborate with the Scenter Manager to support team development


Who You Are
We are looking for a groomer who is skilled, humble, and excited to grow with a team.


This role is ideal for someone who:
• Enjoys teaching and mentoring others
• Is open to learning and following a consistent grooming system
• Takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality work
• Works well in a collaborative environment


Qualifications
1–3 years of dog grooming experience preferred
• OR graduation from a professional grooming school
• Knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming tools
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable transportation


Schedule
Daytime hours only — no late nights
• Typical Scenter hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Open six days per week
