Program, set up, and operate CNC vertical milling machines for custom and production parts.
Manipulate G and M codes at the machine level.
Schedule machining operations based on production requirements.
Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain equipment performance.
Train, supervise, and support machine operators.
Work with a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and wood.
Operate additional shop equipment such as manual mills, press brakes, saws, lathes, and drills.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with designers and management to meet customer requirements.
Maintain production quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
Support preventive maintenance activities and shop operations.
Trade school education or equivalent experience.
5 or more years of CNC programming experience with vertical machining centers.
Proficiency in MasterCam, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of machining practices and shop tools.
Ability to read blueprints and perform precise measurements.
Experience working with various materials including metals and composites.
Knowledge of laminates and veneers is a plus.
Forklift certification preferred.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting materials.
