Job Description SummaryThe Shielding & Reactivity Control (SRC) Engineer will contribute on the SRC team by performing, verifying, and mentoring engineering work in the areas of shielding, criticality, fluence, reactivity control/re‑activity insertion analysis, and control rod blade design.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesPerform technical evaluations and provide technical support in the areas of criticality safety and shielding, fluence evaluations, control rod blade, dose and decay heat analyses technical analyses.Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues.Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables.Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers.Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification.Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC, CNSC, or other regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards.Required QualificationsB.S. Degree in engineering, physics, or closely related science discipline from an accredited college or university.Minimum of 4 years of experience in nuclear radiological analysis, nuclear safety analysis and methods, or nuclear fuel, core, or plant design. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
