Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Recognize areas of strength and improvement to bring the team to a high-performing level using appropriate coaching techniques.
  • Ensure Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, and domain knowledge.
  • Work with the Scrum Team and stakeholders to influence decision-making and support project or product teams.
  • Resolve team impediments to increase the effectiveness of Scrum application across the organization.
  • Facilitate and support all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Act as a servant leader who coaches and supports Agile teams in Business as Usual (BAU) work and department initiatives.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with the controls engineering organization, other functional groups, and customers.
  • Manage project configuration of tools for workflows, schemas, and attributes as needed by the project.
  • Remove workflow barriers, learn internal processes, and configure the tool environment to maximize efficiency.
  • Share best practices, provide input to template improvements, and champion tools by providing training and coaching to product teams.
  • Coach teams through ASPICE process adherence alongside Agile ceremonies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering from a nationally accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading Engineering Teams.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Development.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience on an Agile Team as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Team Lead.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Atlassian tools.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Scaled Agile Methodologies (SAFe, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to make presentations and work in group settings.

Preferred Skills:

  • Masters degree in Engineering.
  • Background in powertrain, electro-hydraulics, or industrial automation.
  • Experience developing software architecture with an emphasis on code re-usability and maintainability.
  • Experience with various software development methodologies and tools (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience with processes and tools for requirements management, change, and configuration management.
  • Experience with software test methodologies, tools, and development of test plans for embedded systems.
  • Experience integrating and validating the performance of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience with auto-coding methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
  • Working knowledge of the AUTOSAR framework and experience developing in an AUTOSAR environment.
  • Knowledge of functional safety and development processes compliant with safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and development processes compliant with cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 21434).
  • Knowledge of software quality processes and compliance auditing to ASPICE, CMMI, etc.
