Lead Electrical Engineer - SubstationOur client is a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm specializing in power delivery, utility infrastructure, and grid modernization projects. They partner with electric utilities, renewable energy developers, and industrial clients to deliver substation, transmission, and distribution projects that improve reliability and support future energy demands.Job DescriptionLead engineering and design efforts for substations ranging from 12kV, 34.5kV, 69kV, 115kV, 138kV, 230kV, 345kV, and 500kV.Develop and review one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layouts.Perform grounding, short-circuit, equipment sizing, and system studies.Specify transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, CTs, PTs, surge arresters, and associated equipment.Coordinate with civil, structural, transmission, and protection & controls teams.Serve as a technical lead and mentor for engineering staff.Interface directly with utility clients and project stakeholders.Support proposals, budgeting, scheduling, and project execution.Review engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.Provide construction support, RFI responses, and commissioning assistance.Ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, NEC, ANSI, and client standards.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
