The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Working alongside cross-functional partners and industry experts, you'll help establish engineering standards, influence enterprise design strategies, and deliver solutions that support Target's continued growth.Lead Electrical EngineerYou will serve as an enterprise technical expert responsible for the strategy, design, development, and implementation of electrical systems across Target's Retail Stores, Supply Chain facilities, and Headquarters locations.You will establish enterprise electrical design standards while providing technical leadership for power distribution, standby power systems, renewable energy initiatives, lighting, controls, and electrical infrastructure. Working with internal partners and external engineering consultants, you will ensure electrical systems meet Target's performance, safety, sustainability, resiliency, and operational objectives.You will evaluate emerging technologies, influence long-term electrical strategies, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement across Target's engineering practice.Core responsibilities are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About you:Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET) program7+ years of experience with a consultant engineering firm, contractor or a manufacturer of building engineered systemsProfessional Engineer or the ability to become registered within the next 12 months.Proficient in electrical designs that include electrical distribution, generators, lighting, fire alarm and electrical systemsKnowledgeable in the operation of commercial building engineered systemsPossess well-developed knowledge of commercial building design and construction processesAbility to use CAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, including Autodesk Revit, in the development and review of construction documents.Ability to effectively work with discipline-specific engineering software programs and project management applicationsPractical knowledge of the design and application of discipline-specific productsAbility to negotiate effectively to achieve agreements that all parties can supportAbility to synthesize complex information from a variety of sources and use that information to make informed decisionsAbility and desire to seek out technical training opportunities to increase skillsAbility to champion ideas with confidence and ensure that difficult problems are addressedAbility to lead multi-discipline teams to accomplish goals and to ensure that all viewpoints are considered by the teamAbility to travel up to 25%This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
