Location Morrison Healthcare at Missouri Delta Setting Acute Care

Schedule Flexible, predominantly Mon-Fri

Requirement RD Credential, acute care experience

Position Details Lead RD will oversee clinical services at an acute care facility with an average census of 60. Lead RD will manage part-time RD and PRN RD. Facility units include ICU, Inpatient Rehab, Med-Surg, Telemetry, Geriatric, Psych, Adolescent Psych, and OBPEDS. NFPEs are performed on all patients at risk for malnutrition. TPNs are managed by dietitian ~1-2 TPN per month. Weekend coverage rotates between this position, a part-time, and PRN dietitian, and is typically <5 hours of work, then on call very occasionally, are there calls. Weekend coverage can be remote with the exception of when there is a TPN in house. RD has to physically be present to manage TPN. RD will help oversee patient services, program menu management, and diet software. RD is involved in hospital medical support committee with a QAPI.

Salary $65,000-$75,000

Job Summary We are seeking an Advanced Practice Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutrition care, serve as a clinical leader within the healthcare team, and promote positive patient outcomes through innovation and expertise.

What Youll Do

  • Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
  • Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
  • Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to and lead QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
  • Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of clinical and departmental staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.

What Were Looking For

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with five years of experience.
  • Advanced Practice Certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) preferred.
  • Licensed Dietitian or willing to obtain in the state of practice as applicable.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
