Maintain an expert role in combining Locomotive and Coach commissioning into a trainset approach. Develop detailed technical testing plans for upcoming projects and create detailed test reports for vehicle qualification during the commissioning process. Identify and drive the purchase of equipment and tooling required for commissioning. Lead collaboration with the business Engineering, Production, Scheduling, Project Management and Quality Management to streamline commissioning processes. Provide technical expertise to field service teams. Develop commissioning schedules and track progress against schedule. Mentor Field Service Technicians on commissioning best practices. Communicate technical feedback to Engineering to drive design corrections to meet specification requirements. Report budgeted labor vs actuals to the program management teams and clarify any discrepancies.Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Commissioning Engineer-related occupation.
