The Lead Resident Assistant @ The Kensington Meet community residents’ needs by helping with activities of daily living and coordinating services to residents. Supervise and direct resident assistants. Responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.
Schedule: Thursday-Monday (2p-10:30p)
Pay: $23/$24hr
What will I do every day?
Observe and monitor residents for any changes in condition and report to Care Services Director, RCC, MCC or appropriate physician
Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer services, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction
Effectively supervise departmental operations on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of the Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) or Dementia Care Coordinator (DCC)
Supervise resident assistants
Interacts with families and other visitors
Interacts with peers and supervisors about resident concerns
Assist or provide supervision for residents performing activities of daily living (i.e. shaving, oral hygiene, bathing, nail care, dressing, etc.)
Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find appropriate associate to assist
Perform the following tasks: vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injections (if state allowed), medication assistance, ambulation, and activities
Support, lead and participate in resident-centered wellness programs
Work toward maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, and personal safety
Assist resident assistants as needed and whenever primary supervisory tasks are completed
Assist with resident assistants’ scheduling and assignments
Track supplies that are needed and communicate to Care Services Director, RCC or DCC
Work as part of the team within your department and across the community
Present required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates and maintain appropriate documentation
Provide daily associate recognition and appreciation
Support open and honest communication with and between all associates
Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis
Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately
Support continuous improvement
Perform other related duties as required

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?
Must be 21 years of age (or meet State requirements)
Must meet the minimum requirements of those supervised
