Job Description (Business Development Manager) Key ResponsibilitiesThe Business Development Manager is to act as the key leader in expanding our clientele by promoting LD Kerns in our existing and potential new markets. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the successful management and delivery of marketing and business development services to our clients and potential while meeting established productivity, revenue, and profitability goals.Strategic Leadership Manage the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies.Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and architects; oversight of research and prioritization of clients and architects (A, B, C) and frequency of outreach, etc.Take the lead role in managing the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business; manage and direct marketing and business development staffSupporting existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities; track and report metricsDaily and monthly dutiesReview Existing projects, qualifying opportunities to open new business opportunities with existing clients and go after those contracts.Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, and lead/facilitate pitch logisticsBuild long-term relationships with new and existing clients.Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.Schedule visits with LDKC, Inc. Senior Management and prospective clients, vendors, and subcontractors for new business opportunities.Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations. Represent the company at professional organizations and outreach activities, including trade shows, speaking engagements, and other public relations activities that support the achievement of business development/marketing objectives.Call on local Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors to establish and cultivate relationships, staying informed on new or existing prospective projects. Notify management of sales activities, upcoming opportunities, and approximate timing for proposals and bid submittals.Lead community efforts and industry organization events to promote the company.TravelFrequent "in town" travel and occasional travel throughout the State of Oklahoma.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Relevant field or5+ years of experience in the construction industry outside sales with a track record of successful outcomes.Existing network within the Oklahoma construction industry is a plus.Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.Proficiency in InDesign software and Unanet Coessential is a plus.Highly skilled in consultative and solution-based selling.Proficiency in Microsoft products is a plus.Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational & time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Working ConditionsMust be available for on-site visits and willing to travel to project sites.May be required to work extended hours, including some weekends, to meet project deadlines.This position occasionally requires after-hours activities, client events/conferences, active participation (AIA, ULI, etc.), and client entertainment activitiesMust be willing to accept additional duties and responsibilities as the company needs or as company executives see fit.Please call 918-299-9797 to inquirePrincipals only.
