Laundry Mechanic will support Laundry operations by fulfilling maintenance requests, identify problems and perform various maintenance and repair tasks on laundry-specific equipment.

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Laundry Mechanic will support Laundry operations by fulfilling maintenance requests, identify problems and perform various maintenance and repair tasks on laundry-specific equipment. They are responsible for laundry equipment repairs and are expected to perform these tasks on their own after training.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
Must have 1 year of construction experience.
Must have the ability to provide legible communication.
Must be able to use various tools of the trade.
Must possess and be able to use basic math skills.
Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Carries out the policies and procedures of the company while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service.
Resolves laundry equipment maintenance problems and assists with laundry operation requests as needed.
Be proficient in the repair and maintenance of Laundry equipment, and be capable of performing tasks on their own after training.
Assists other department staff with technical repairs pertaining to electrical and plumbing.
Identifies problems that cannot be readily repaired and coordinates the repairs with the Laundry Manager.
Communicates information to the Laundry Manager and assists with solutions to problems as requested.
Must have basic knowledge of EMS and life safety systems, with training.
Accurately completes daily round sheets and identifies and reports major problems.
Be capable of performing Laundry Technician tasks and willing to do so as priority and workload dictates, and under the direction of the Laundry Manager.
Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
