ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

• Drive a box truck to deliver linen and supplies throughout the property in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow all road safety driving rules and regulations.
• Safely load and unload truck of supplies and linen.
• Inspect vehicle daily for damage and cleanliness.
• Report any deficiencies or damage to the vehicle up the chain of command.
• Clean vehicle as needed
• Work in the laundry when not driving
• Work in housekeeping when not driving
• Collects, Sorts and prepares dirty linen for pick up from outsourced laundry company.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service; Acts is a professional manner.
• Follows procedures of chemical use, equipment uses, and cleaning routines.
• May be called upon to perform housekeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

MARGINAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

• Completes special projects as required.
• Knows and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs.
• Works extra shifts, and hours as required.
• Assists in other departments as needed.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in operating a commercial vehicle or similar role. CDL preferred. Hotel or Condo experience a plus.

Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of general work safety practices. A Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record is Required. Remain organized and self-supervised to complete tasks. Knowledge of the surrounding area. Communicate to both, guests and fellow associates, professionally and positively.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: (essential functions only) Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying:

Lift/Carry Up to 100 lbs. issuing supplies, inventory, receiving supplies

Push/Pull Up to 750lbs carts, containers, bins of supplies, inventory, linens and terry

Bending/Kneeling: Check rooms, under bed and cabinets, drawers, inspect floors, etc.

Mobility: Continuous movement throughout the shift/hotel.

Continuous Standing: No continuous standing.

Climbing Stairs: Up to approximately 20 %.

Ladders: Up to approximately 10 %.

Driving: Moderate driving, to pick up and deliver supplies and linen.

Work Environment Inside: 30 %; Outside: 70 %.

Describe any abnormal temperature exposures: High humidity and temperature exist throughout peak season.

Hearing: Critical X Moderate Minimal

Explain: Need excellent listening skills to deal with guests, associates, and to operate a company vehicle during the shift.

Vision: X Critical Moderate Minimal

Explain: Operating a vehicle on busy public thoroughfares requires excellent vision.

Speech: Critical X Moderate Minimal

Explain: Communicating with guests and associates.

Literacy: Critical Moderate X Minimal

Explain: Need to read daily checklist and complete daily vehicle log book.

Chemicals/Agents: Cleaning chemicals and agents; Knowledge of usage for training purposes.

Protective Clothing: Type: Slip-resistant footwear Approximately 100 %.

Type: Work Gloves Approximately 25 %.

Equipment Operation: Box Truck or other company issued vehicles, radio, iPod, vacuum, wet vacuum, industrial washer/dryer, floor buffer.
