Position Summary

The Laundry Aide assists with the daily operations of the Laundry Department to help ensure a clean, safe, comfortable, and sanitary environment for our residents. This role is essential in supporting quality resident care by maintaining linens, clothing, and laundry services in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily laundry operations of the facility.
  • Wash, dry, fold, sort, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry.
  • Ensure laundry areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition.
  • Follow established infection control and safety procedures.
  • Properly operate and maintain laundry equipment.
  • Label, organize, and track resident garments as required.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or supply needs to management.
  • Support a positive environment for residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and resident-focused environment.

Preferred

  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, healthcare, or long-term care experience.
