Job Details

The Lathe Machinist is responsible for producing precision-machined components using CNC and manual lathe equipment. This role focuses heavily on turning operations for hardened and non-hardened materials, ensuring parts meet exact dimensional, surface finish, and quality requirements. Machinists work closely with inspection, programming, and production teams to support both small- and large‑run manufacturing.

Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and engine lathes to produce precision parts per engineering drawings and work instructions
Machine components such as bushings, bearings, sleeves, pins, shafts, and rings to tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
Perform contour, straight, taper, and form turning operations, including internal and external threading
Monitor part quality using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and thread gauges
Make tooling offsets and minor program adjustments as needed to maintain part quality
Inspect parts during and after production; document results per quality requirements
Work with hardened steels, alloy steels, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, and copper materials
Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality standards, safety procedures, and lean manufacturing practices
