Position Summary: The LaSOR Program Coordinator – RN/LPN is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Louisiana State Opioid Response (LaSOR) Program. This position will assist in the day-to-day program coordination and management activities related to clinical quality, which will include working to strengthen and expand substance use disorder/opioid use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery services to enhance rural Louisiana residents’ ability to access treatment and move towards recovery.
Responsibilities:
Possess a knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, patient rights, and ethics.
Assist in writing and leading implementation plan in collaboration with project manager, senior leadership, and subject matter experts to ensure compliance with program requirements.
Assist in directing, managing, and executing ongoing, statewide project activities related to clinical quality.
Serve as subject matter expert and/or fill technical roles on related clinical quality projects.
Collaborate with primary care providers, integrated treatment team, and other community providers.
Provide information, education and support for providers related to opioid treatment resources and promote wellness, recovery, health management, and skill building to sustain better health for clients.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct clinical educational and technical assistance activities.
Maintain up-to-date education on current addiction treatment trends, including knowledge of the Internet and local resources for those with substance abuse.
Conduct literature/resource reviews to identify best practices for clinical quality and SUD.
Collect, manage, and analyze program specific clinical data.
Develop marketing and media materials, campaigns, and opportunities related to the project.
Continuously evaluate program effectiveness, workplan and strategic plan.
Assist in completing progress reports and activity reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensure: Current, unencumbered RN, LPN or LVN license.
Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or community health.
Knowledge: Understanding of substance use disorders, pharmacology (including MAT), and harm reduction principles.
Experience with the local, regional or non-profit communities.
