This Laser Operator role reports to the Laser Supervisor and is responsible for operating Bystronic and Mitsubishi CO2 lasers, de-nesting parts, and performing metal finishing in a just-in-time fabrication environment.
Key duties include setting up and running lasers, checking material accuracy, troubleshooting machine issues, and ensuring quality and safety standards. The role involves training others, cross-training on multiple laser platforms, and participating in equipment maintenance.
Qualifications include strong laser or CNC experience, blueprint reading, basic math, and computer skills. Physical demands involve lifting up to 55 lbs, standing, and occasional climbing, with exposure to loud noises and production fumes. Preferred candidates have prior laser experience and familiarity with overhead cranes.
