Description
Summary/Objective
The laser operator is responsible for the cutting of various materials thickness to specified tolerances. Create and export programs to the required laser by using engineering cam file data. Run multiple machines and jobs at the same time while monitoring the quality of the work being produced.
Essential Functions

- Handle various materials, being careful not to dent, crease, or wrinkle thin sheets.
- Computer work such as inputting data required to run a laser program and completing CAM files.
- Perform frequent measuring tasks to ensure product conformance with specialized measuring equipment.
- Document measurements and trends according to product control worksheet and traveler review and markup instructions.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Lead.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are 3rd Shift (Monday–Thursday, 9:00PM – 7:30 AM. Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
