Overview:
The Large Packer is responsible for preparing, packaging, and staging large electrical enclosures and related products for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, safe material handling, and consistent communication with the shipping and production teams to meet customer delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely package large products using shrink wrap, strapping, foam, and other protective materials.
Operate pallet jacks, hoists, and/or forklifts to move heavy products.
Verify order accuracy against packing lists and shipping documents.
Inspect products for quality issues or shipping damage risks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S and safety standards.
Collaborate with shipping, logistics, and production teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Complete all required paperwork accurately.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-2 years' experience in shipping, warehouse, or packaging roles.
Ability to regularly lift, move, or position up to 50 lbs; team-lifting for heavier items.
Strong attention to detail and safety practices.
Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift.
