Position Purpose
VIP is seeking a Landscaping Job Coach to join our team. This unique role combines hands-on landscaping work with coaching, mentoring, and supporting individuals with disabilities in a community work setting.
As a Landscaping Job Coach, you'll spend your day working alongside clients performing landscaping services while providing guidance, encouragement, and skills training. We're looking for someone who enjoys outdoor work, has landscaping experience or knowledge, and understands that the most important part of the job is helping people succeed.

What You'll Do
- Perform daily landscaping duties including mowing, edging, trimming, planting, watering, weeding, fertilizing, and monitoring plant health.
- Work side-by-side with clients throughout the workday, providing hands-on instruction, coaching, and support.
- Help clients develop workplace skills, confidence, independence, and professional behaviors.
- Demonstrate proper landscaping techniques and safe work practices.
- Encourage client participation, problem-solving, and skill development while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Document client progress through weekly notes and reports.
- Collaborate with supervisors, case managers, and other support staff to ensure client success.
- Maintain positive relationships and professionalism at community job sites.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance required.
- Landscaping experience or knowledge strongly preferred.
- Experience training, mentoring, coaching, or supporting others is highly valued.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical landscaping tasks throughout the day.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Available Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
