Summary of requirements:
A Landscaper is responsible for maintenance, repair and cleanup of the grounds and landscaping on the property at Shaker Village. This position requires considerable working knowledge of motorized equipment and hand/power tools to perform landscaping work activities. This position will work 40 hours per week Aug 1 - Oct 31
Specific Duties:
- Cleans and keeps in good working order, all equipment used in grounds maintenance such as instructed by Landscape Foreman.
- Plants and trims lawns, trees, bushes, hedges and shrubs using hand tools or motorized vehicles.
- Driving motorized vehicles inside Shaker Village property as well as on highways.
- Regularly mows lawns, weeds, removes debris from developed areas of property.
- Ensures lawns are manicured appropriately and in accordance with the standard set by the Landscape Foreman.
- Will be expected to perform any general or miscellaneous tasks associated with the grounds department and as directed by supervisor

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, climbing and walking.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
Working Environment and Conditions:
- Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Experience working in landscaping or an adjacent field.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Position requires use of a company vehicle while conducting Shaker Village business.
