Position Summary: The Landscape Design & Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for both the creative and operational success of the company. This position oversees job scheduling,daily operations, and field coordination while also contributing to landscape design, plan interpretation, and project layout. This individual will also manage a portfolio of high-end maintenance accounts, ensuring quality, consistency, and client satisfaction. The role is critical in helping run the day-to-day business and keeping all teams aligned.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the company-wide schedule and calendar, ensuring all crews, supervisors, and managers are aligned on daily and weekly assignments

Coordinate job scheduling, crew assignments, and routing to maximize efficiency and productivity

Oversee installation and maintenance operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to company standards

Manage a portfolio of high-end maintenance job sites, ensuring premium quality, attention to detail, and strong client relationships

Conduct regular site visits to monitor maintenance quality and ensure specifications are being met

Serve as a point of contact for high-value clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction

Design landscape projects, including preparing or reviewing layouts, material selections, and overall project scope

Read and interpret landscape plans, blueprints, and specifications accurately

Perform job site layout according to design plans, including staking, measurements, and ensuring proper placement of all elements

Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and administrative staff to ensure seamless communication and execution

Monitor job progress, address scheduling conflicts, and proactively resolve operational issues

Support client communication regarding design, scheduling, timelines, and project updates as needed

Ensure proper staffing levels across jobs and adjust schedules as needed due to weather, delays, or staffing changes

Help enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards

Track and report on job progress, productivity, and operational efficiency

Assist ownership in overall business operations and strategic planning

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in landscaping, construction, or related field

Strong experience in landscape design, installation, and high-end maintenance practices

Ability to manage and maintain high-profile client relationships

Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings

Experience with job site layout and translating plans into field execution

Proven experience in scheduling, operations coordination, or project management

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong leadership and communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in scheduling software, design tools, and basic office systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Experience managing multiple crews or large teams

Knowledge of plant material, irrigation systems, grading, and landscape construction methods

Experience with landscape design software (e.g., CAD or similar tools)

Work Environment:

Combination of office and field work

Frequent communication with crews, supervisors, clients, and management

Fast-paced, hands-on environment requiring flexibility, problem-solving, and attention to detail
