This working hands-on Foreman position guides and coaches coworkers completing land care work assignments at multiple locations, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and discusses daily work schedule with manager
- Implements work schedule and guides coworkers for grounds and landscaping
- Proficiently performs land care responsibilities along with staff. Duties to include, but not limited to, mowing lawns, blowing, edging, bundling debris, clearing snow, ice or storm debris from pathways, and similar duties
- Assure that the crews' personal appearance, actions, and demeanor present an appropriate image to client families
- Guides, trains, and provides constructive feedback to staff. Ensures work is performed to company standards and complies with regulations
- Identifies and recommends efficiencies; implements approved efficiencies
- Supports change initiatives; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, or requirements
- Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and properly maintained
- Complete and submit paperwork to appropriate department or manager as needed
- Help prepare for storm preparation and storm clean-up for locations
- Maintain effective working relationships including communications with management and Staff
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Certification/License
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record to operate company vehicles
Experience
- At least two (2) years land care experience
- Land care/landscaping foreman experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Strong work ethic and ethical business practices
- Basic computer skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental and public safety regulations

- Frequent continuous sitting, kneeling, or standing up to 6 hours per day; frequent bending and stooping
Physical Demands
- Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required to operate manual tools; lift, carry, or haul up to 50 lbs.
Work Hours
- May work beyond standard hours or schedule as business needs arise
Pay:
- $30.00 - $34.00 an hour based on experience
