Introduction
This position involves working in a fast-paced laboratory environment where you will assist with various tasks including checking in couriers, unbagging, bar coding, and moving samples around the lab. Candidates must be comfortable working with samples such as blood, urine, fecals, and biopsies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), operating and maintenance instructions, government rules, and technical procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong initiative and follow through.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a team contributor.
- Must demonstrate a high level of customer service.
- Good computer skills: Client Office and SAP preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements that go with working as a Lab Associate – May transport hazardous waste within the facility and may occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume lab environment like LabCorp or Quest.
- Background in Vet Tech or Vet Assisting, especially with recent experience at Amazon, FedEx, or in food service.
- Recent Biology degree with fast-paced work history.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Check in couriers and manage sample intake processes.
- Assist with unbagging, bar coding, and organizing samples.
- Load samples into analyzers and centrifuges.
- Handle samples with care, ensuring proper storage and processing.
