Introduction
The role involves supporting the lab's operational processes by handling various tasks such as checking in couriers, unbagging, bar coding, moving samples around the lab, loading samples into analyzers, and more. Candidates must adhere to safety protocols and dress code requirements for onsite visits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), operating and maintenance instructions, government rules, and technical procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong initiative and follow through.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a team contributor.
- Must demonstrate a high level of customer service.
- Good computer skills: Client Office and SAP preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements that go with working as a Lab Associate – may transport hazardous waste within the facility and may occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment such as LabCorp, Quest, or a large hospital.
- Experience in fulfillment or food service roles, especially for candidates with Vet Tech or Vet Assisting backgrounds.
- Recent Biology degree with fast-paced work history.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Check in couriers and manage sample logistics.
- Unbag, bar code, and move samples around the lab.
- Load samples into analyzers and add samples into centrifuges.
- Swirl samples with a liquid chemical and manage refrigerated storage.
