Position available in Freeland or Coupeville.

8:30am-5pm
Starting Pay Range
$20-$22 an hour

As a Laborer, you’ll be a vital part of our mission to keep recyclable materials out of landfills. Your work will directly conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and support a circular economy. Whether you’re sorting materials, operating machinery, or keeping the facility running smoothly, you’ll be making a tangible difference for the planet and the people in our community.
What You'll Do
- Sort and separate recyclable materials—such as paper, plastics, metals, and glass—on conveyor belts or sorting lines.
- Operate balers, compactors, and other recycling machinery to prepare materials for shipment.
- Inspect incoming loads for contaminants and remove non-recyclable items to maintain quality standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, moving materials within the facility, and staging shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and wearing required protective gear.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or process issues promptly to supervisors.
- Support team members in meeting daily processing goals and efficiency targets.
- General clean-up of the facility, running the sweeper on site.
- Using basic hand tools.
- Provide excellent customer service.
What You'll Bring

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods).
- Comfort working indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Attention to detail to ensure proper sorting and quality control.
- A commitment to safety, teamwork, and environmental responsibility.
- Previous experience in recycling, warehouse, or general labor is a plus, but not required—we provide full training.
