Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations by performing quality assurance testing, preparing technical reports, and providing technical support for product selection and fluid design. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely laboratory results while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

 

Job Description

  • Perform quality assurance testing on products to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare laboratory reports and documentation to support field operations and service delivery.
  • Assist with additive selection and fluid design by providing advanced technical laboratory support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and service delivery.
  • Maintain communication with client support laboratories, operating locations, product centers, and technical knowledge resources.
  • Ensure all laboratory deliverables are accurate, complete, and submitted on schedule.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in clean, safe, and proper working condition.
  • Ensure laboratory waste is handled and disposed of in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
  • Prepare technical presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct routine laboratory audits to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Support Design and Technical Engineers, as well as Product Specialists, with laboratory testing and technical analysis.
  • Perform risk assessments before laboratory tasks to identify and mitigate potential safety and quality risks.
  • Participate in customer service quality meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality programs and initiatives.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required safety and compliance training.

 

Skills Required

  • Previous laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience in cementing laboratory operations is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in documenting test results and preparing technical reports.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting quality assurance testing in an industrial, manufacturing, or energy-related laboratory.
  • Familiarity with fluid design, additive evaluation, or technical laboratory support.
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement or quality management initiatives.

 

Education

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $21 - $22 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)

 

Additional Details

  • Shift:  12 Hour Shifts, 7 Days on 3 Days off, 7 nights on 4days off
