Laboratory Technician (Life Sciences)

Title: Processing Technician/Laboratory Technician

Location: Elk River, MN 55330

Duration: 7 Months. 5/11/2026 to 12/31/2026

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

Occasionally Saturdays 1/2 days (once per month on average). Usually starts around 7am on Saturdays and done around 10:00 AM.

Position Overview

• Responsible for the daily management of laboratory samples and document retention systems
• Support the processing team in sample preparation and analysis of forage samples
• Working on Animal feed Sample
• Receiving sample organizing leveling
• Entry Level position, fresh graduate would be great fit.
• Sample grinding and Scanning is the part of this work.
• Ingredient samples that may contain potential allergens are handled routinely in this facility
• Support processing teams with sample processing and testing
• 90 percent hands on lab work.

Principle Accountabilities

• Support processing teams with sample processing and testing
• Tasks include but are not limited to sample grinding, NIR scanning, labeling, and weighing
• Participate in lab housekeeping program and follow designated policy
• Proactive focus on workplace safety and shows initiative to work safely and follow policy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and associated tools

• Position Criteria

  • Experience:
  • At least one year of relevant experience — Required
  • Work effectively within a team, with strong communication skills — Required
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively — Required
