Summary:
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Shift: 8am-4:30pm (Flexible start time)
Work Mode: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Manage the key customer’s quality testing program, routine program planning, and weekly communication with submitting plants.
- Handle sample receipt, conditioning, and testing.
- Conduct skilled analysis of test results and provide weekly and monthly reporting.
- Maintain an ongoing customer database and present findings directly to customers.
- Work primarily in the Container and Paper Testing Labs using TAPPI Test Methods.
- Analyze test data from packaging components to evaluate package performance.
- Engage in project management work, including researching topics, developing project plans, performing tests, and presenting findings.
Requirements:
- 2 or 4-year degree in Packaging, Paper Science, or a related Science Field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical role related to Packaging, Paper, or laboratory environment.
- Self-guided with proven success in managing time-sensitive activities.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with statistical analysis of data.
- Strong customer communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to travel once per quarter.
Preferred Skills:
- Self-guided and proactive in task management.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Able to operate test equipment and follow test procedures accurately.
