Responsibilities
  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials.
  • Optimize lab procedures to produce reliable results that impact research and development, quality control, and environmental standards.
  • Handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances, reporting findings to the laboratory manager.
  • Receive, label, and analyze samples such as blood, toxic, and tissue specimens.
  • Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, making observations and interpreting findings.
  • Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using scientific methods.
  • Organize and store chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases following safety instructions.
  • Record all data and results accurately in specified forms (paper and electronic).
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Follow all safety guidelines strictly and maintain a clean, orderly environment.

Requirements
  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials, and substances.
  • Skilled in the use of laboratory equipment, statistical calculations, and report preparation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • An analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with repetitive tasks and handling small intricate parts is a plus.
