Laboratory/Medical Lab Technician (MLS / MLT / MT)

Location: Indianapolis Metro Area, IN
Shift: 5x8s
Schedule: Rotating Weekends Required

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Analyze and report accurate laboratory results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

• Perform testing in:

  • Hematology

  • Blood Bank

  • Chemistry

  • Urinalysis

  • Kit Testing

• Verify specimen integrity and ensure quality control standards are met.

• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve testing issues as needed.

• Document results accurately within Cerner EMR/LIS.

• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital clinical laboratory experience required.

• Generalist laboratory experience required.

• Blood Bank experience required.

• Ability to work independently after orientation and training.

• ASCP Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification, OR

• ASCP Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification, OR

• ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) certification.
